Baby Shower Gift List
There are actually two baby shower gift lists. Both lists are equally important.
It is very important for the expectant parents to either register with a baby shower registry at area stores, or to have the baby shower planner complete a baby shower gift list and enclose it with each baby shower invitation.
The advantatge to these ‘wish’ lists ensures that the expectant parent receives at least part of what they want and need. The baby shower registries mark wanted gifts off the list as they are purchased by a shower invitee, that way the gifts are not duplicated. The responsible shower planner will also act as the baby shower gift list coordinator and maintain an up to date gift list. As the shower invitees decide which gift they are planning to purchase, they inform the shower planner who then checks that gift off the list and informs the rest of the shower invitees of the updated gift list.
The ‘wish’ baby shower gift list is available at department stores as well as party and shower decoration stores. This list may also be obtained from the internet, either for a fee, or free.
The second baby shower gift list is equally as important as the first baby shower gift list is. The second list is completed by the shower planner as the expectant parents open their gifts. The top of the page is to be completed with general shower information, such as: the guest of honor, date of shower, time and place of shower, and also the name of the shower hostess (planner) and co-hostess.
The remainder of this second baby shower gift list is simply blank lines divided into three columns. The columns are labeled: gift received, gift given by, and a very small third column labeled, sent thank you note. At the end of the shower this baby shower gift list is given to the parents to be. As a thank you is sent for each gift, there is a check mark or date entered into the third column, thus completing the baby shower gift list.
